教材分析:

本节课是外语教学与研究出版社新标准英语四年级下册Module 4 Unit 2 Will it be hot in Haikou?本课时的课文情境是机器人接听小朋友询问全国各地天气状况的电话。小朋友先后询问了海口、银川、杭州、沈阳、广州、北京六座城市的天气状况,机器人一一作答。这一课文通过展示中国地图,帮助学生理解我国由于幅员辽阔,各地天气情况差异很大,从而进一步加强学生对祖国的了解,增强祖国意识。

学情分析:

本模块内容设计适合四年级学生,他们经过一年的学习初步具备一定的听说读的技能,有一定的模仿能力,在老师的引导下,能运用所学基本句型进行语言操练,在课堂教学中能积极参与,互动交流。并且一般将来时态will在第三模块已经学习接触过,学习起来难度会降低一些。本课主要运用will 对将来要做的事情进行提问,对于大多数学生来说比较容易掌握。但是,要灵活自如地运用重点句型进行语言交流,还需要大量的操练。

教学内容:

本课时是对将来时的拓展和延伸。这一单元内容主要学习用将来时来预测未来的天气,并通过让机器人来做天气预报员播报天气,学习并运用句型“It will (be)           in     .”描述各地天气,进而能够比较熟练地运用句型“Will it (be)     in      ?”询问各地天气。这是一个非常生活化的话题,学习本课时从机器人播放天气为切入点,并将简笔画、猜一猜游戏、Chant及角色扮演等活动有机溶入到课堂教学,以此调动学生的学习积极性。

Step 1 Warming up(热身、复习环节)

T:Will you fly a kite tomorrow?

S:Yes, I will.

T: Lets enjoy a video. Watch the video and sing the song together.

Step 2 Lead in(导入)

T: Whats the song about?

S: Its about weather.

T: Look at the pictures and say quickly

sunny windyhot、cold、rain、snow、cloudy 

Step 3 Presentation(呈现新知)

(1)Show the weather symbols and use the chant to read the words.

(2)Lead in the text

T:A new friend comes to our class today. She is Lily. She comes from London. She wants to travel in China. But she doesnt know which city to choose.She will choose one city to travel according to its weather.Lets help her, OK?

S:OK.

(3)Describe the weather in Sanya 、Jiaozuo and Shanghai, using the sentence “ It will (be) ___ in ___.”

T:Lets look at the weather in Sanya.What will the weather be in Sanya tomorrow?

S:It will be hot in Sanya.

(4)Show a map of China and guess the weather in Haikou and Yinchuan, using the sentence “ Will it (be) ___ in ___?” Present the answers “ Yes, it will.”/ “No, it won’t.”

T: Will it be cold in Haikou?

S: No, it wont.

(5)Listen to the tape and match the city with the weather.

Step 4 Production(语言的实际运用)

Practice 1: Random turntable

T:Each group chooses one student to stand in the front of the classroom. When he says “ start”, the wheel will start rotation. When he says “stop”, the wheel will stop, pointing to a weather symbol. He will use the sentence “ Will it (be) ___ in ___?” to guess the weather in his city. The students will answer him until he finds the right answer. The group which uses the least time will be the winner.
